OUR STORY
How it all started…
A place that is all about enjoying. A place where everyone is welcome and can spend time with their loved ones – that was and is the inspiration for our genuine heart project: NIU.
The name comes from a combination of our two first names: NICI and TU.
We both have always shared a love for sweets and reduced-sugar, Asian treats and drinks. So we experimented many hours in our tiny kitchen to find the best recipes for crêpe cakes and several other delicious creations.
We are also inspired by the coffee culture of England and Asia. What many of you probably do not know: Vietnam is the second largest coffee producing country in the world after Brazil! Since we also have a close connection with Vietnamese Culture, we only serve exclusively Vietnamese coffee beans for all our coffee specialties.
After a year of preparations, we could proudly celebrate the opening of our “baby”:
On Jan. 26, 2019, NIU ASIAN CAFÉ in downtown Nuremberg was born.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Colorful, fresh and hearty.
We have a passion for unusual, colorful creations, freshly made with love and served with a portion of rainbow. We serve hot and cold drinks, e.g. the Rainbow & Glitter Coffee, our Homemade Iced Teas & various Milkshakes. Besides the delicious NIU drinks, the special Asian treats are also a must, especially our cake creations, such as the crêpe cakes.
Our products are handmade in our own bakery every morning: From the dough to the glazes up to the pastes and fillings. For us, quality is top priority. Ready-made mixes and flavors are out of the question, we pay attention to nutrient-rich, high-quality, sugar-reduced and natural ingredients.
Our assortment consists of a fixed, permanently available selection, as well as weekly changing specials. We are constantly developing our concepts and working on new, unusual, colorful cake and drink creations.
Your visit to NIU should be as colorful as our selection. It is very important to us that we can put a smile on our guests’ faces with every visit. This is ensured by our employees, who provied a warm working atmosphere and working environment for a good mood in the café.
We want to create a feel-good place for everyone and share beautiful moments and memories.
